So we got back safe and sound, we landed in the snow and t hasn't stopped yet! there's about 1-2 foot outside and the temperature dropped to -22°C on Wednesday, that's similar to summer temperatures in the Arctic circle. Brrrr.

Looks chilly yeah? Naturally you can understand that such weather hinders mobility...
Luckily, I've had some good friends help me out in getting to campus and back.In other news, I am training for the Akron half marathon in September so am at the gym trying to loose all the weight I put on over Christmas from eating several kilograms of cheese. I also succeeded in getting a small grant to do more PhD work over the summer semester which is nice.
Becky has started her voluntary position at Akron art museum and is getting on splendidly, of course.
Oh, and this is my office...
Cosy huh? and this is our new office pet, Edward the crayfish..
